Welcome to Winery Wednesday everyone! Thanks for visiting my page and reading along. This past weekend was all about time with family and friends, and spontaneous adventures, including a last minute wine tasting!
This past Memorial Day, my cousin and I headed up to the beautiful Pride Mountain Vineyards. This gorgeous winery sits atop Spring Mountain between Sonoma & Napa counties. In fact they technically have two separate wineries to label each Napa and Sonoma! So cool!
Our tour began with a glass of Chardonnay where they source their grapes from Carneros, yum! And then followed by their Viognier which was delicious and one of my favorites. Not to mention this wine is a favorite of the White House, yes the White House! Fun fact, Pride Mountain is the second most frequented wine of the Nation’s Capital!Β
Our tour looks us from learning the history of the amazing family that started this winery to exploring the wine caves and tasting along the way. We were able to enjoy side by side comparisons of the same varietals of different vintages. Such a fun experience to taste wine straight from the barrel.Β
We ended the tour with visiting their beautiful private tasting room area. These private tastings include a food component for pairing with the wine and these experience start at $90 per person. I am definitely adding this to my Napa Valley bucket list!
From this room there are two large doors that lead out to the breaking views of vineyards on the property. Nestled in the rolling hills covered in vineyards, it is truly gorgeous. Visiting the property alone is so worth the drive up the mountain, not to mention the delicious wine you get to taste while visiting!
Thank you for reading along and I hope you get up to Pride Mountain Vineyards soon! Make sure to make an appointment ahead of time π
Cheers,
