This is an exciting Winery Wednesday being the day before Thanksgiving! It is definitely one of my favorite holidays and I cannot wait to get home to see my family and friends. This holiday I will be bringing a bottle of wine from Clos Du Val which I just visited this past weekend.
I had the opportunity to join some amazing women who also wine blog at the beautiful new tasting room at Clos Du Val. Located right off of Silverado Trail in the renowned Stag’s Leap region, it is a winery you do not want to miss while in Napa. They decided cut their production in half to focus more on the high quality of wine versus the quantity. The famous Stag’s Leap region is known for producing some amazing wines.
Our tasting experience was in one of their two private rooms for groups next to the barrel room. After we were greeted with a glass we continued through their list of wines. We definitely got a surprise with their amazing “Three Graces Red Blend”. And if that wasn’t enough our wine educator returned with a 1996 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District. Talk about an amazing library wine, it was superb.
We had such a geat time at Clos Du Val and the was some of my favorite wine I have tried in Napa Valley. Their high quality wines in the Stag’s Leap Region really do have an amazing taste.
Happy (early) Thanksgiving everyone!
Cheers
