Jessup Cellars

Happy Winery Wednesday fellow vino lovers! This week I thought I would share my recent visit to Jessup Cellars in Yountville. If you are headed up to Yountville while in Wine Country (which I STRONGLY reccommend) I suggest having brunch at Southside Cafe in Yountville then heading over to the Jessup Cellars tasting room.

First Southside Cafe has two locations, one in Napa and one in Downtown Yountville and is a great place for brunch and to get a great meal in before wine tasting! (My favorite dish is their biscuits and gravy, YUM!!)

After brunch, head on over to Jessup Cellars to start your tasting, only about a minute walk from each other. I recommend making an appointment in advance before arriving at the tasting room.

We headed into to the tasting room and were kindly greeted and shown to our table in their art gallery. There was already cheese, crackers, and an almond/cashew mix on the table. (As soon as I see cheese laid out on the table at any tasting, I am so excited to try the different pairings).

The wine was very very good, and we got the opportunity to experience six wines with six different cheeses, again YUM!!! I really loved their 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and also the 2014 Napa Valley “Juel.” The “Juel” is a 50% Merlot blend that was very complex and aged in French Oak. Oh and they also brought out chocolate to pair with the wines, yes please.

Thank you for reading! I hope you can enjoy a great glass of wine to celebrate your wine Wednesday.

Cheers!

XOXO BB
